A man from Florida is in jail after he allegedly shot and killed two people over a fight in the laundry room.
Hugh Hootman, 75, told police in Stuart, Florida, that he shot his downstairs neighbors because he wanted them to apologize to his wife for yelling at her for leaving the door to their shared laundry room open, WPBF-TV reported.
Hootman says that when he went up to his 81-year-old neighbor Henry Wallace and told him to apologize for yelling and swearing at his wife, Wallace didn’t apologize and pushed past him. This made Hootman pull out his gun and shoot Wallace several times.
Ginger Wallace, Wallace’s 81-year-old wife, ran outside to see what was going on. That’s when Hootman said he shot her twice, killing her.
