Future bodycam footage may provide further insight into the moments leading up to Thomas Matthew Crooks’ shooting of the former president Trump.
Fox News Digital has learned that bodycam footage from local police, who stopped Thomas Matthew Crooks moments before he opened fire on former President Trump and a group of protesters in Pennsylvania last month, is about to be made public.
Released on Thursday, the video is reportedly going to capture the exact moment a Butler Township Police Department officer climbed the roof of Crooks’ station, just before he fired his DPMS AR-15 rifle, struck Trump in the ear, killed Corey Comperatore, and hurt two more.
The Butler Township Police Department’s interim chief, Lt. Matthew Pearson, told Fox News Digital that the video is being edited for public release and would provide viewers a better understanding of the moments before the fatal shot on July 13.
