Paul Harvey Aurandt Jr. is an American pianist, radio broadcaster, and former host of ABC Radio Networks’ News and Comment. He is the only child of Paul Harvey and Lynne Harvey.

Harvey’s version of the show was significantly different in that it was not time-sensitive, was pre-recorded (as opposed to his father’s same-day recordings), focused on non-current topics such as “scientific developments, medicine, unusual phenomena, and other stories that are not directly connected to the day’s news,” and frequently contained “no time-sensitive or topical material.” As a result, numerous stations either shifted the show to a less prominent time slot or eliminated it.

Harvey took over as host of the morning version of News and Comment in April 2008, when his father departed the show. “Now that’s news,” he said at the end of the program. Harvey has previously introduced the bumpers going into and out of his father’s program, as well as helping create parts of the scripts. Another of his father’s shows, The Rest of the Story, he started and wrote.

In 2001, Harvey was elected into the National Radio Hall of Fame, chiefly for his work as the creator and writer of The Rest of the Story.
