Robbie Robinson inked an academy deal with United Soccer League club Charleston Battery ahead of the 2017 season. On June 14, 2017, Robbie made his professional debut as an 88th-minute replacement in a 3-2 loss to Atlanta United FC in the 2017 U.S. Open Cup. From 2017 until 2019, Robinson played college soccer at Clemson.
On September 22, 2017, Robbie scored his first collegiate goal against Pittsburgh. On January 4, 2020, Robinson received the Hermann Trophy, given to the best college soccer player in the United States. He was named the ACC Male Athlete of the Year, awarded to the top male player in the Atlantic Coast Conference across all sports on May 20, 2020. Robinson was the first male soccer player to receive the award in its 67-year existence.
In December 2019, it was announced that Robbie had signed as a Generation Adidas player with Major League Soccer and would be available in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. Inter Miami selected Robinson first overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. On March 1, 2020, he made his MLS debut for Inter Miami against Los Angeles FC.
International Career
