According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, an Arizona man was charged with first-degree murder on Friday after reportedly killing his landlord over a rent disagreement.
Joshua Blake, a landlord, was allegedly murdered earlier this summer by 31-year-old Michael Turner, Jr. Tensions finally erupted over Turner’s unpaid rent at Blake’s Golden Valley home where Turner resided.
Shortly before Blake vanished on August 3 the two men got into an argument over Turner not paying the rent. On August 31, Blake’s family reported him missing.
As a result of Turner’s involvement in a gunshot that occurred on his property in June, the landlord also threatened to file a complaint. According to the authorities, Blake first accepted responsibility for the shooting.
