The fire that was burning at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles has been contained to around six acres.
After extinguishing a large fire that had been deemed a major emergency by Los Angeles firefighters, they were able to arrest a person of interest in the case. The fire had been located close to the famed Griffith Observatory.
The Los Angeles Police Department has detained a person of interest in connection with the massive fire that burned over six acres and required the reaction of 93 firemen. The investigation into what started the fire is still ongoing at this time. The identity of the individual who was being questioned but had not yet been arrested was withheld.
N. Nottingham Avenue, which is a popular hiking location in Griffith Park and is located close to the Boy Scout Trail, made the report at 2:43 p.m. on Tuesday.
