Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has tipped his team to win the Premier League next season.
The last time Chelsea won the League was in the 2016/2107 season under Antonio Conte.
However, the Spanish international believes Chelsea is capable of competing with Manchester City and Liverpool for the League title next season.
Chelsea is third on the League table 12 points behind league leaders and defending champions Manchester City.
What did Alonso say?
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of their Premier League encounter with Arsenal, he said with the right investment and addition of new players coupled with the existing squad he sees no reason why Chelsea cannot compete with Manchester City and Liverpool.
“I would say so.
“We saw a few years back when we won the last one and we have been competing against these teams.
“I think we are capable of winning anything against any team and we just need to improve a little bit in this consistency during the whole season. We’ll try to be a little bit closer for next season.”
