According to reports, De’Shawn Malik Fox, Anton Conway Bennett, Kyonne Marquise McLeod, and Emanuel Robson Planco collaborated to break out.
Four South Carolina prisoners who broke out of the Chesterfield County Detention Center early on Tuesday morning are still the target of a search.
According to Chesterfield County officials, the jail break was the result of a collaboration between Emanuel Robson Planco, Anton Conway Bennett, Kyonne Marquise McLeod, and De’Shawn Malik Fox.
In addition to other agencies, the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office is receiving assistance in the search from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
The men were being held in an overflow section, according to officials, since there had been an inflow of detainees when they fled.
Officials speculate that the fugitives may have kicked down a steel door before climbing a barbed wire fence.
Fox 8 reports that Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater says authorities think the males needed assistance leaving and getting to the next destination.
In order to make themselves less identifiable, Streater also thinks they have modified their attire.
They are wanted by the Chesterfield County Detention Center on allegations of escape and other offenses.
Sheriff Cambo Streater requests that you call the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 843-287-0235 if you have any information on any of these people. According to the Sheriff’s office statement, “This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional information will be released at this time.”
