Former Manchester United Ace Luke Chadwick has tipped the Red Devils to finish in the top four of the Premier League next season ahead of Chelsea and Tottenham.
Manchester United looked revamped under new coach Erik Ten Hag. The Red Devils are so unbeaten in their pre-season friendlies. Their style of play under Erik Ten Hag gives Manchester United fans hope for next season.
After finished sixth last season in the Premier League. The Red Devils had strengthened their squad with three new signings and are still on the market trying to add to their squad.
The Red Devils unveiled their third signing of the summer on Wednesday. Manchester United announced the signing of Lisandro Martinez for £ 55 million from Ajax after signing Christensen Eriksen on a free transfer and Tylle Malacia for £ 13 million from Feyenoord.
Luke Chadwick expects Manchester United under Erik Hag to finish above Arsenal, Chelsea, and Totten ham in the race for the top four in predicting his top four next season.
What were Luke Chadwick’s top four predictions for next season?
In an interview with Caught offside, the firmer Manchester United player said: “I would expect Manchester City to win the league again, then Liverpool in 2nd. In terms of just beneath those two, it’s harder to predict. I think with Ten Hag in at Man United now, it’s a massive opportunity for them.
“I think we’ll see them get stronger as the season goes on and I could see them finishing in third place. Obviously, I’d love to see them finish higher than that, but I think Liverpool and City still have too much for the rest of the league at the moment.
“Spurs and Arsenal have both recruited really well and there won’t be much between them. Chelsea is struggling a bit in pre-season, they’ve signed some really good players but lost some really important players too.
“So I think my overall prediction for the top four would be: City to win it, Liverpool 2nd, United third, and then I’d probably lean towards Arsenal in fourth. I like the recruitment they’ve made and rate Mikel Arteta.
“I think Spurs will just miss out and then Chelsea could slip away in a similar way to Man United last season.”
Meanwhile, Darren Bent has questioned Sir Alex Ferguson’s involvement in the alleged Cristiano Ronaldo clinch talk.
The former Aston Villa forward said via TalkSports, saying: “He [Sir Alex Ferguson] is the greatest manager in Manchester United’s history, the greatest manager in Premier League history.
“I don’t know what it would be like having someone like that overseeing you on the decision you make.
“You look at Ralf [Rangnick] he made some tame decisions, and there was a big story about that, saying Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn’t have done that.
“I don’t think Erik ten Hag needs that. It w
It would be nice to see Fergie step back from it, and let Ten Hag have a real go.
“If he [Ronaldo] can’t report because he has family issues, I understand that.
“But I don’t think the whole kind of circus has “done Erik ten Hag any favors.
“Especially given Ten Hag has come out and said he wants to build his team around Ronaldo. Can you build a team around someone who has made it evidently clear they don’t want to be there?
“I don’t think you can. You try and get as much money for him, you let him go, and then try and move forward with the squad that you have.”
