The 26-year-old Dremone Francis is accused of capital murder in relation to the passing of Harris County Deputy Fernando Esqueda.
Officials report that a second suspect has been taken into custody in Texas in relation to the ambush death of a deputy in the Houston region last week.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on social media that Dremone Francis, 26, has been booked into the Harris County Jail after being charged with capital murder in the killing of Harris County Deputy Fernando Esqueda.
Francis’s apprehension follows the Thursday arrest and capital murder accusation of Ronald “Ronnie” Palmer Jr., 44.
