If you needed assistance recovering from your Thanksgiving food coma, there was no better remedy than to spend Black Friday watching come incredible matchups take place as the 2019 college football regular season comes to a close this weekend.

This year’s Black Friday slate brought more than enough excitement, with Virginia snapping it’s vaunted losing streak to rival No. 24 Virginia Tech to punch a ticket to the ACC Championship Game and No. 17 Iowa showing major grit down the stretch to avoid disappointment on the road in Nebraska.

And the Friday top 25 action was capped off with a pivotal matchup in the AAC as the suspenseful Group of Five race toward a New Year’s Six berth nears its climax.

No. 18 Memphis hosted No. 19 Cincinnati on Friday afternoon, with the Tigers needing a victory to secure a rematch with the Bearcats next Saturday for the AAC title. When the smoke cleared, Memphis took care of its business, setting up the second clash between these two.

Meanwhile, in the same time slot, Boise State more or less did what it needed to do in holding off the upset bid from Colorado State to remain alive in the race as well. CBS Sports was here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the day. All times Eastern

Someone cutting onions in here?
Brutal loss for TCU. It’s definitely been a season of “what ifs.” The Horned Frogs lost six of seven by a touchdown or less. So, so close for Gary Patterson’s team.
West Virginia will win to finish at 5-7. The loss means TCU finishes at 5-7 as well, and the Horned Frogs will not be going bowling.
TCU facing a 4th and 10 at midfield with 27 seconds left.
TCU got a stop and has the ball back. Can they get into FG position?
TCU goes deep and it’s almost completed, but it’s dropped. West Virginia up 20-17.
4th and 10 for TCU with 1:11 left. The Horned Frogs trail by three and need to win to become bowl eligible.
No, I can’t say Washington does.
It’s over in Seattle. Seven straight wins for Chris Petersen in The Apple Cup.
A 35-yard TD to Isaiah Esdale has just given West Virginia a 20-17 lead over TCU with 2:10 to play.
And TCU just bailed out WVU again with a roughing the passer on 3rd and 12.
West Virginia is in TCU territory thanks to a PI call. Mountaineers trail 17-13 with three minutes left.
Former Washington QB Jake Browning is enjoying The Apple Cup.
Boise State beats Colorado State 31-24. Colorado State had a chance late, but couldn’t close. Boise improves to 11-1 while Colorado State finishes at 4-8.
Memphis is going to beat Cincinnati 34-24. These two teams will meet again at the Liberty Bowl next week in the AAC Championship.
Jalen Reagor is ridiculous. Not a lot of offense in West Virginia-TCU, so this punt return for a score may be a difference-maker. Frogs up 17-10 midway through the third quarter as they hunt for bowl eligibility.
Washington pulling away in The Apple Cup. The Huskies are now up 28-10 early in the third.
Here’s the game-winning kick in Lincoln.
Game over. Iowa wins and Nebraska finishes 5-7.
Iowa’s Keith Duncan just drilled a 48-yard FG to give Iowa a 27-24 lead with one second left.
Great grab, better name.
Nebraska has the ball at its 15 with 4:30 left and three timeouts. Score still tied 24-24 and Nebraska needs to win to go bowling.
Apple Cup has been entertaining as well. Jacob Eason shows off some real nice passes sometimes, including this one for six. Eason air-mailed a would-be touchdown to Hunter Bryant earlier, but he does have some nice touch on his passes too.
Curtis Weaver is a beast. Has been all season. Should be an All-American at season’s end. This is an outstanding individual effort and Boise State has a 24-14 lead on Colorado State. Broncos still vying for a Cotton Bowl bid.
We are suddenly tied in Lincoln. Nebraska has played very well in the second half and it’s 24-24 with 32 seconds left in the third.
