According to investigators, the judge admitted to having “a few beers at his apartment, but not even to the point of being dirty” thereafter.
Over the weekend, a judge in Austin, Texas, who presided over a large number of cases involving drunk driving was taken into custody.

Deputy sheriffs made contact with Travis County Judge John Lipscombe in a North Austin hotel lobby shortly after midnight on Saturday, according to an arrest complaint obtained by The News God. Deputies learned that Lipscombe had “a couple of beers at his residence but not even to the point of becoming filthy” when they arrived at the scene.
Lipscombe was claimed to have attempted to back into a parking space that had previously been used by another car, resulting in the summoning of deputies to investigate.
