When you drill down into figures, most business owners will find that about eighty percent of their revenue comes from just twenty percent of their customer base. Essentially this means that it’s crucial that you keep your existing customer base happy so that they will come back to you time and again; if you lose this twenty percent, you can see that it will have a big impact on your bottom line.

It’s clear that you’ll need to do all you can to stay in your customers’ minds as much as possible. Not only will this keep sales steady, but it’s also much less expensive to keep existing customers than it is to find new ones. With all this in mind, here are some of the ways you can ensure your customers don’t forget you.

Newsletters

Having a newsletter that your customers can sign up for (or are automatically signed up for – be aware of the rules surrounding GDPR in this case) is an excellent way to keep your business and its goods and services in the minds of those who will ideally spend money with you.

Using your newsletter, you can keep customers up to date with what’s going on with your company, have contests, offer them discount coupons for loyalty, and so on. Your business will stay in their minds if you send out your newsletter on a regular basis (maybe once a month). They’ll be reminded of you every time it arrives, and that could spur them on to making a purchase.

Emails

Some businesses only send emails when they want to promote a specific product, but if you send emails for a variety of reasons and personalize them, you will appear much more down to earth and approachable to your customers – people love to buy from real people, so the key is to personalize your emails, even if they are part of your marketing campaign.

Emails can be sent out as someone signs up for a newsletter or to hear special offers, or if someone abandons their online shopping cart before checking out, for example. You can even send an email if someone hasn’t bought from you in a while.

Signage

If you never tell anyone who you are, it’s not going to be easy – in fact, it will be pretty much impossible – for them to know what you do or even that you exist. There are a number of ways you can not only let them know you’re there but also keep your business in their minds. One of the options here is good signage.

By using signs made from an aluminium composite panel by experts such as Multipanel, you will have long-lasting, cost-effective advertising that can be installed on fencing, the outside of buildings, signposts, and even on A-boards on a sidewalk. People will notice, and they will buy.

Social Media

Opening a social media account is one of the simplest methods to stay in contact with your customers. Which platform you pick will be determined by what you offer and the service you give, as well as who your target market is. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and other social media platforms all have advantages and disadvantages. Whatever you decide, be sure you publish regularly and that your postings are engaging and useful.

If someone interacts with you on social media and asks a question or sends you a message, it’s critical that you respond – it demonstrates that you care about your customers and that you are interested in what they have to say.
