This does not mean you have to follow some strict dietary regimen. Healthy eating guidelines and a balanced diet can go hand in hand and complement each other. Basically, a balanced diet is one that promotes and maintains the capacity to gain and maintain a

  • proper blood circulation
  • the capacity to obtain and maintain a balanced body weight 

A healthy lifestyle also gives the capacity to avoid or reduce risks associated with unhealthy living such as 

  • cancer
  • diabetes 
  • heart disease 
  • stroke
  • Hypertension
  • And other illnesses and diseases

As well as the capacity to cope up with stress, anxiety, depression, and fatigue.

The first step to being healthy is to eat right. Make sure you are getting the proper amount of nutrients and calories to sustain your daily activities. You need to make wise food choices and limit your intake of unhealthy foods and increase the intake of nutritious foods. You don’t need to over-analyse every meal you eat.

Exercise can help you stay active, fit, and prevent excess weight. A healthy lifestyle includes exercise to help keep you physically fit. In order to stay physically fit, you need to be doing some form of exercise. This could be some form of walking the dog, going for a jog around the block, going swimming, or doing aerobics. These forms of exercise will help keep you in shape and emotionally in top shape.

Eating the right types of foods can help you stay mentally and physically active. A healthy diet and regular exercise will enable you to eat the right kinds of foods that will provide the nutrients your body needs to stay active and healthy. Instead of eating junk food, eat more vegetables and fruits. If you have a craving for something sweet then make sure it is in moderation.

Try to eat small meals throughout the day. This will help you stay on track with your meal plan and you won’t feel like you are overindulging in food.
