Caldwell is angry about “inaction” and “injustice.” Gianno Caldwell, a political expert for Fox News, wants the FBI to fully take over the probe into the murder of his brother.
For no reason, Caldwell’s 18-year-old brother Christian was shot and killed in Chicago on June 24, 2022. Caldwell says he won’t stop until justice is done.
“In March of this year, I got a call from the Chicago Police Department telling me that they had arrested a person in an unrelated case who they believe had a high chance of being involved in the murder of my baby brother, Christian, to be one of the shooters, to be exact,” he told “Your World” on Friday. “That same police department also told me that the FBI is looking into this person and that he is being held by the federal government, which is something I can applaud and appreciate.”
“However, the Chicago Police Department has failed my family since then,” he said. “They really let us down. The officer on the case doesn’t answer my calls or text messages, so I want to use this chance and this stage to ask the FBI to take over the investigation of my brother’s murder.”
Caldwell said things have been hard for his family and that he is “greatly disappointed” that the Chicago Police Department “continues to fail thousands of families.”
He asked, “How can you tell me that there’s a guy in federal custody right now who you think has a high chance of killing my brother, but nothing has been done since then?” “Why aren’t you calling me back? “How is that possible?”
Caldwell told Fox News that he has been working with a congressman to get politicians to ask the FBI to get involved in the investigation and “speak up for victims all over the country.”
“Since the FBI director will soon be testifying before Congress, I’m going to ask both Republicans and Democrats what’s going on with the investigation into the murder of Gianno Caldwell’s brother,” he said. “I’ve tried to get in touch with the FBI several times, but I haven’t heard back from them. So, I want to ask that someone from the FBI field office in Chicago call me. You have my phone number on file. If you’re in Washington, D.C., at the FBI offices, give me a call. You have my phone number on file.”
The expert thought victims shouldn’t suffer because soft-on-crime lawyers don’t do their jobs.
“I can’t stand it when people don’t do what’s right. I’m mad as hell that nothing is being done, and I won’t stop until my brother gets what’s coming to him.”
