Polk County, Florida, Sheriff Grady Judd sent a strong warning to drug dealers and gangsters by wearing a gold chain worth $50,000 seized during a drug bust during a press briefing.
This came as part of a large drug bust, where authorities arrested 32 suspects linked to a drug operation that caused the tragic overdose death of a 65-year-old woman.
“She was walking out of her house to church when she collapsed, so she died, so Nate could have this drip,” Sheriff Judd said. “Did you hear what I said? He’s buying this drip from selling drugs to people on the streets, one of which died.”
Sheriff boasted, “I got their drip. I got their money. We got their guns. We got their dope.”
Along with the $50,000 gold chain, the investigation led to the seizure of firearms, including pistols, and hard drugs like fentanyl, crack cocaine, and ecstasy.
“Where you see $50,000 in drip, where you see that ‘not-so-dangerous’ drug of cannabis, you see guns, and you see first-degree murder from overdose. I am over it,” Judd said.
“I am over it when people tell you that drugs are low-level and non-violent,” he added.
