Tuesday saw the public identification of four members of an Arkansas family who perished in a home explosion in Michigan over the weekend.
Authorities claimed that combustible gasoline in the air was most likely the source of the explosion on Saturday rather than intentional mischief.
The Northfield Township Police Department claimed that the deceased were Hope Bragg, 51, her husband Don Bragg, 53, and their children, Kenneth Bragg, 22, and Elizabeth Bragg, 19, all of Monticello, Arkansas.
The incident took place at the residence of Hope Bragg’s 72-year-old father, Richard Pruden, who is still in serious condition. 16-year-old Stephen Bragg’s health was steady.
Approximately 45 miles (72 kilometers) west of Detroit, the house was completely destroyed by the explosion. For the holiday, the Braggs were in Michigan, according to Lt. David Powell.
Powell remarked, “I’ve never seen anything like it” in regards to the devastation.
According to their LinkedIn sites, Hope Bragg was a professor at the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service and Don Bragg was a research forester at the U.S. Forest Service.
