David Paden Marchand was born to Penny Marchand in Rochester, New York, United States, on November 20, 1975. Davey Havok formed his first band in high school, and AFI was born. After the band disbanded, Havok went to the University of California, Berkeley, to study English and Psychology, but he continued to write music. The band had a successful reunion event in which they performed in front of hundreds of fans. As a result, they decided to come back together and make a debut album with Havok as their lead vocalist.
“AFI released their first two studio albums, “Answer That and Stay Fashionable” in 1995 and “Very Proud of Ya” in the following year.
