According to the accounts, school resource officers from the Broward Sheriff’s Office were the ones who discovered the firearms; however, the parents were not informed of the discovery for another twenty-four hours.
Within a building on the campus of a school in Parkland, Florida, which is less than three miles away from the site of the mass shooting in 2018, local law enforcement discovered a package containing loaded firearms that had been hidden within the structure.
Reports from The News God state that on Thursday, firearms were found at Somerset Academy by a school resource officer from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Following that, he shared the information with other people who were participating in the inquiry at the time. One year ago, there was a dreadful tragedy that took place at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, during which 17 people were killed and another 17 people were injured.
