In 2020, the race for the 7th Congressional District of the state was hotly contested, and Kean came up just a hair shy of losing to Tom Malinowski.
Thomas Kean Jr., a Republican from New Jersey, made the statement on Sunday that he was witnessing a “great wave of enthusiasm” in the days leading up to the primary election for the Republican party in the state on Tuesday. He made this statement on the day after the primary election took place.
In an interview with the media that took place over the weekend, Michael Kean, a former senator from New Jersey and the leader of the minority in the state senate, claimed that it is time to “break the back of inflation.” Kean was the minority leader in the state senate at the time.
