A man in Oklahoma allegedly interfered when his girlfriend’s divorced spouse broke into their home, leading a neighbor to commend the state’s gun laws.
That’s what I think is going on; people are just breaking into other people’s houses over here. A lady from Midwest City, Oklahoma, who only went under the name “Gabrielle,” told OKC Fox that she was “just thrilled that it’s open carry in our state” because people “need to be able to protect [themselves].”
In Oklahoma, law-abiding persons over the age of 21 do not require a permit to carry a weapon openly or hidden.
Gabrielle is a neighbor whose house on Flannery Drive was broken into early Wednesday. According to the shooting affidavit, the male resident was at home with his wife when he heard the dog wailing.
