Overall, Ocasio-Cortez likes what Biden did in his first term, but she says, “There are some things I think could have gone better.”
In an interview on Thursday, Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that she supported President Biden but that the president could have done better in some ways.

On Thursday’s “Pod Save America,” Ocasio-Cortez was asked what she thought about a Biden president.

“Given the limits we have, I think he’s done pretty well,” Ocasio-Cortez said, adding, “I do think there are ups and downs in every presidency.”

“I think he does a good job in some areas, like when he came out of the gate with the American Rescue Plan, and the Inflation Reduction Act was a huge step forward for our climate agenda.”

Despite Republican pledges, the House passed a baby formula bill. Democrats obscure the subject.

On the other hand, Ocasio-Cortez questioned the president’s and the Democratic Party’s interest in immigration problems.

“I also think there are some things that could have gone better. I agree with the president that the Democratic Party still has trouble with immigration. “We don’t want to be responsible for this,” she said.

“There are a lot of other problems, too,” she said. “Even with what’s going on with asylum seekers, people should be able to get basic work permits so they can work while their court cases are being processed. There is a lot of political pushback against that.”

Since Biden was elected in 2020, Ocasio-Cortez has not been a big fan of him. In the Democratic Party primary, she voted for Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Democratic socialist like her.

She hasn’t said until now that she will vote for the president in the Democratic primary in 2024.
In her talk on Thursday, she said that out of the people running right now, she would vote for Biden.

“So, the only main people who oppose the president are Marianne Williamson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. There haven’t been any reports that anyone else might want to join. “Pod Save America” host Jon Favreau asked, “Are you going to vote for Joe Biden again?”

“I think so, given that field,” Ocasio-Cortez responded.
