Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating the circumstances surrounding Anthony Pena’s release.
In Arizona, one inmate fraudulently assumed the name of another inmate, and as a result, that inmate was improperly granted his release on Thursday.
Anthony Pena was able to escape from the Maricopa County Jail at approximately 2:20 in the morning by impersonating another inmate, as reported by Authorities, cited to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
