A man named Clarence A. Blaylock, who was 20 years old at the time of his death in the attack on Pearl Harbor over 80 years ago, was eventually located. He had been missing since the attack.
On Wednesday, authorities announced that the remains of a US Navy sailor who had been missing since the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 while serving on the USS Oklahoma had been recovered.
According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, Navy Fireman Clarence A. Blaylock, age 20, from Fort Worth, Texas, was serving aboard the battleship USS Oklahoma on the day that Japanese aircraft attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Blaylock was assigned to the USS Oklahoma (DPAA).
