After a shooting occurred in that location, the police in Ozark allegedly discovered a weapon in Matthew Dedmon’s truck.
The police in the state of Missouri have reason to believe that a man who was acting under the guise of a preacher was responsible for the shooting death of a man who he had reason to believe was having an affair with his wife. The victim was a man whom the suspect had reason to believe was having an affair with the suspect’s wife.
Matthew Dedmon, age 47, was brought into custody and is currently being questioned in connection with the homicide by shooting that took place on Saturday and resulted in the death of Joe Newburn, age 57. The Ozark Police Department was kind enough to supply us with this information.

Shortly before 1 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Church Street in response to a shooting that was reported in that location. Newburn was discovered by the police laying on the side of the road with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, as stated by the police.
Ozarks First, which cited the police as its source, stated that Dedmon had driven his vehicle to the area to meet his wife, who was supposedly waiting in another vehicle with Newburn. Ozarks First claimed that Newburn was also in the waiting vehicle. It is alleged that Dedmon shot Newburn three times in the chest as he rushed out of his truck to confront Dedmon about the affair that was suspected to have taken place.
