David Daniels, who at the time of his discovery in Fishhawk, Florida, was 37 years old, was arrested on charges of child abuse and false detention.
According to a report from the region, a watchful mother in Florida was successful in stopping a man who had been following two girls inside of a church in what appears to have been an attempt to kidnap them. The incident took place the previous week.
David Daniels, a resident of Brandon who is 37 years old, started following two girls who were in elementary school after they left Cherry’s Bar and Grill in Fishhawk’s park square. He assured the girls that he would watch their walk home and continued to follow them after they left the restaurant. According to a report that was televised by the authorities and quoted deputies from Hillsborough County, this information can be found.
A good Samaritan who saw Daniels walking with the girls in the area around a church reported that she had the unsettling impression that something was awry when she saw Daniels and the girls together.
The unidentified woman who gave her statement to the station claimed that one of the little girls was the one who whispered to her, “Please, assist me, this is not my dad.”
