If you want to learn how to move a safe or valuables, you must organize yourself in advance. You can learn some tips on keeping your belongings safe while you move, preparing an inventory, labeling the boxes well, and looking for moving insurance that stands out.

Avoid making your relocation public

To prevent endless problems during the move, you should avoid making the relocation public on social media. This is because you do not know which people see your posts and what intentions they will have knowing this information.

You should be aware that people are malicious and could devise a plan to steal your belongings during the move, even more so when you move safe or valuables such as consoles, huge televisions, and ceramic mugs with a huge purchase value.

If you want to make your move public on social media, try to make the post after you arrive at your new location. You could also display the welcome party at your new property for your friends and family.

Carefully label boxes

If you want to move safely, you should carefully label the boxes you will use. Put a label on boxes where you keep glass or objects that could break and even place a box to store books.

You should divide moving boxes into sensitive, sturdy items that cannot be exposed to moisture. On the other hand, you can divide moving boxes by items from the kitchen, playroom, or main bedroom. You have several options when labeling the boxes, so you should think about which one would be the most important for you.

Keep your valuables close at hand

You must keep valuables close at hand during the move to prevent them from being lost. Everything that shines, such as jewelry, necklaces, and even that ceramic plate brought from the UAE should be stored in a box that you have nearby.

If you keep the valuable items safe, try to have them close to you. You shouldn’t entirely trust moving agencies when you move safe or valuable items to your new home.

Prepare an inventory

Another way to move safely is by preparing an inventory before the big day arrives. You will only need a sheet and a pencil to organize the things you will store in the moving boxes. You could spend several hours doing the inventory, but you will enjoy getting your things from point A to point B without problems.

Obtain moving insurance

If you want to move safe, contact an agency that offers quality insurance. Most of these companies usually give you guarantees on the move so that you do not hesitate to hire them. Likewise, you have the right to read the moving contract and see what things apply.

Think of a tracking gadget

If you plan an apartment move, you must consider that the moving truck will be behind your car. Knowing this, you may be a bit worried because you will give all your stuff to a person behind the wheel who can easily misdirect your location. If you want to avoid feeling this pressure, use a GPS to have the truck’s location at all times.

Purchase a truck suitable for the moving

If you want to have your things safe in the moving truck, buying a lock is a good idea. Buy a disc lock to prevent thieves from breaking it with bolt cutters. Although these padlocks are expensive, they will be worth it if you want to protect your things.

Protect your vehicle in motion

If you park at a hotel or restaurant, try to do so in a place where you can easily see the truck. When you get out of your car, remember to close the doors securely and lock them. You must always see the truck to avoid having a bad experience.

Last Thoughts

To move safely, you must know how to organize valuables and store them inside the truck. By following these tips, you will have a great experience during the move, allowing you to reach your destination without any setbacks.
