According to authorities, two children and three other individuals were shot at a Texas flea market, and one of the children died later at a hospital.
Officers responded to a complaint of shots fired about 5:30 p.m. near Cole’s Flea Market in the Pearland neighborhood. The Pearland Police Department made a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday. The injured were sent to hospitals.
Officer Chad Rogers stated in an evening press conference that the incident occurred following an altercation between two persons who did not know each other. According to authorities, the two guys exchanged gunshots inside the market.
According to authorities, one suspect remained at large. They did not immediately provide information about the second shooter.
The location is approximately 17 miles (27 kilometers) south of Houston.
