One person was confirmed dead and four others were wounded, including one teenager in a critical condition, after a Saturday shooting in New York City, police say.
A spokesperson for the New York City Police Department confirmed that officers responded at around 7:30 p.m. to a complaint of a shooting on Burke Avenue and Wickhame Avenue near Haffen Park.

A 32-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his chest and a 17-year-old girl had suffered a gunshot wound to her face. Both were transported to the hospital, where the man was pronounced deceased and the girl was listed in critical condition.
Three other victims, a 30-year-old man, a 29-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man, also had gunshot wounds. The 42-year-old man had a gunshot wound to his arm, while the other two victims both suffered gunshot wounds to their backs.
All three victims were listed in a stable condition.

According to police, four people were arrested and multiple guns were recovered.
The incident remains under investigation.
The shooting incident happened near Haffen Park as a large crowd watched a basketball tournament. According to the New York Post, the incident appeared to be gang-related.
