It has been reported that 700 workers at Airbus Atlantic fell ill following the company’s Christmas dinner.
According to The Guardian, health authorities in France have opened an investigation into the incident after 700 of the 2,600 guests at the dinner on December 14 experienced “clinical signs of vomiting and/or diarrhoea” following the meal. Additionally, some employees reported feeling ill 24 to 48 hours later.
The celebration was held at an Airbus Atlantic restaurant on-site in the western French region of Montoir-de-Bretagne.
Dinner was tournedos, which included ice cream logs and hazelnut chocolate mousse for dessert, along with lobster, scallops, and gone gars.

The cause of the illnesses has not been identified, according to French health officials.
A worker going by the name Nolwenn told the newspaper Ouest-France that the sickness hurt.
“I had never-before-experienced colic and headaches. Nolwenn remarked, “It was worse than giving birth.”
According to an Airbus Atlantic representative, none of the passengers were “seriously ill.”
“The case is now being handled by the health authority, which is leading the investigation,” a spokesperson stated.
The food was prepared by the company canteen, according to Jean-Claude Iribarren, secretary of the Airbus Atlantic works committee, who made this revelation to a French newspaper.
“Someone has made some hasty assumptions about the causes. Samples of every product that is served in the restaurant must be kept on file. The ARS [health authorities] will examine them. Iribarren stated that the investigation will require several more days.
