Chelsea will welcome Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in the Premier League.
The blues nine matches unbeaten run under Graham Potter came to an end last week Saturday at the American Express Community Stadium against his former side Brighton. Chelsea were thrashed 4-1 by Brighton.
Graham Potter’s side are without a win in their last three Premier League games. The blues will hope to return to winning ways when they face Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Arsenal are the team to beat this season in the Premier League. The Gunners have won 10 matches out of 12 and have only dropped points to Manchester United and Southampton.
Chelsea are currently sixth in the Premier League with 21 points while Arsenal are First in the Premier League with 31 points.
William Gallas has revealed that he expects a draw game at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
What is William Gallas’s Prediction for Chelsea V Arsenal?
The former Arsenal and Chelsea defender said on Genting Casino: “Chelsea vs Arsenal is a London derby, so I expect to see a good performance from both teams. I expect it will be very intense, with an electric atmosphere.
“But I will go for a draw because, after the Brighton game, Chelsea have to respond well.
“Arsenal won 5-0 against Nottingham Forest so they will go to Stamford Bridge with high confidence. I think it will be very interesting to watch, I think it will be open because both have to win.
“Neither will go for a draw, but in the end, I think it will be a draw.”
Gallas added: “I think the win against Nottingham Forest shows us that Arsenal have gone to the next level if we compare them to previous Arsenal sides.
“So they had a good response by winning 5-0, which was very important because they are top of the league and still putting pressure on Manchester City.
“It’s a long season, but with that message of winning 5-0, it’s really good for the club and the players because they have to play the next game against Chelsea and they have confidence.
“They are not afraid to play the way they want to play. It’s always better to go to Stamford Bridge looking for a victory because when you play a game like this you need to have all that confidence around you, that’s why those three points will help them a lot to have a good result there.”
William Gallas has warned Graham Potter not to play Raheem Sterling at wingback again.
He said: “If Graham Potter wants to get the best from Raheem Sterling, he has to play on the right or left of a three, that’s how Sterling was being used at a high level before at Liverpool and Manchester City.
“He’s always played there. So for me, it is difficult to understand why, sometimes, a manager wants to play players out of position.
“After the Zagreb win, I think Potter has to play Sterling in a front three and not how he used him in the last match when he was playing wing-back.
“It was very difficult for Sterling to play there. Play him in his position and let him do what he needs to do.
“During the 4-1 defeat, what I saw were some players being passive and not aggressive, especially at the back.
“For a team like Chelsea, you can’t concede four goals like that, especially against Brighton. Even if we know Brighton are a good side, it doesn’t matter because when you represent a club like Chelsea players have to do more.
“As a former player, I know sometimes that when you play every three days it can be difficult but you have shown a strong mindset. You know it will be a difficult game, but you have to do the job and Chelsea didn’t do the job. They lost.”
