Saturday, a man from Washington state turned himself in after a pistol he was carrying inadvertently discharged in a restaurant, injuring two people.
Friday, just before 8 p.m., Redmond police responded to a gunshot report at Sages Restaurant in the 15900 block of NE 83rd Street.
Police reported that a male patron entered the restaurant legally carrying a firearm that discharged and ricocheted off the floor.
Another victim was wounded in the arm by the gunshot, and fragments struck a third. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Before detectives arrived, the suspect reportedly fled the restaurant, according to police. Later, he surrendered himself and the firearm at the Redmond police station and was lodged into Score Jail without incident on a charge of endangering the lives of others.
Investigators believe the firearm was discharged inadvertently, and the suspect had no relationship with the two victims.
