This week has been a very week for Chelsea, as the club welcomes their first signing of the summer and trains in the United State for their pre-season ahead of the 2022/2023 season. Chelsea fans finally have smiles on their face as the club announced the £47 million signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City on a five-year contract.
The 27-year-old England international becomes the top highest earner following his arrival at Chelsea with a weekly wage of £300,000. The Chelsea new boy immediately flew to join his new teammate in the US once the deal was confirmed.
Chelsea had his first training session with a new clubmate in Los Angeles as they prepare for their first pre-season game against Mexican side Club America on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling shared excitement after signing for Chelsea.
Reacting to his arrival at Chelsea via Chelsea’s official website, The 27-year-old England international said: “First and foremost, it’s a pleasure to be here.
“I’ve obviously achieved a lot in my career so far, but there is still so much more to achieve and I’m really looking forward to doing that in a Chelsea shirt, under Thomas’s management.
“London is my home and where it all started for me, and it’s amazing I now have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family week in, week out at Stamford Bridge. I’m really looking forward to meeting the fans there soon.
“I do want to take the opportunity to thank Todd, Behdad, the ownership group, Thomas, and all involved in the process of getting me here.
“I can’t wait to get going now and continue to do my talking on the pitch.”
