According to Israeli officials, the first plane transporting U.S. ammunition landed in Israel Tuesday evening as the country amassed tanks near the Gaza border in preparation for an expected ground operation.
The armaments that arrived at the Nevatim Airbase in southern Israel, according to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), “are designed to facilitate significant military operations and increase preparedness for other scenarios.”
The IDF did not disclose the weapons and military material it received. The Ministry of Defense’s Directorate of Production and Procurement, the U.S. Procurement Mission, and the Ministry of Defense’s International Transportation Unit collaborated to transport this equipment to Israel.

This week, the Biden administration announced the delivery of U.S. munitions to Israel, which is waging war against Hamas terrorist combatants in response to Saturday’s terror attacks that killed over 1,200 Israelis, including 155 soldiers.
Israeli officials claim that Lebanese Hezbollah militants have carried out cross-border attacks in northern Israel while defending Israel’s border with Gaza.
President Biden addressed the five-day conflict in a televised speech on Tuesday, in which he stated unequivocally that the United States stands with Israel.
“We must be crystal clear: We stand with Israel,” Biden asserted. “We support Israel. And we will ensure that Israel has the means to protect its citizens, defend itself, and respond to this attack.”
The president continued, “There is no excuse for terrorism. There is no justification. Hamas does not support the dignity and self-determination of the Palestinian people.
“Its stated purpose is the annihilation of the state of Israel and the murder of Jewish people,” according to him. “We reject this terrorism.”

Israel has a “right” and a “duty” to respond to the attacks, according to Vice President Joe Biden, and the United States will “ensure” that Israel has the means to do so, including maintaining its Iron Dome missile defence system.
“Let there be no doubt: The United States has Israel’s back,” said President Biden. “We support Israel. Let us not commit an error.”
This week, U.S. Army Secretary Christine Wormuth requested additional funding to deliver armaments and military aid to Israel.
“The intention is to lean forward in support of Israel,” stated Wormuth. “But in particular with munitions and the ability to support Israel and Ukraine simultaneously, additional funding is needed to increase our capacity to expand production and then also pay for the munitions themselves.”
The battle, which has killed over 2,100 people on both sides, is set to worsen with a possible ground invasion into Gaza.
According to the health ministry in Gaza, 950 people have been killed and 5,000 have been injured.
As of Tuesday, the Gaza Strip was almost without electricity because Israel blockaded the region, which prevented it from getting additional food, water, or fuel.
