Tuesday, former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard endorsed Republican South Dakota Governor Christi Noem’s bid for reelection.
As the governor enters her final week of campaigning before Election Day, Gabbard launched a new ad backing Noem on Tuesday. With a double-digit lead over Democratic rival Jamie Smith in the race, Noem is the undisputed favorite to defeat her. Since she announced her public exit from the Democratic Party last month, Gabbard has backed a number of Republicans.

We are committed to upholding freedom and safeguarding the qualities that make this nation unique “In the advertisement, Gabbard makes a statement. “Kristi loves South Dakota and opposes extreme measures supported by Jamie Smith, such as raising taxes, requiring vaccinations, and restricting gun rights.”
She said, “Extremists like Jamie Smith are why I left the Democratic Party,” before pleading with the audience to support Noem.
