The Democrats must reevaluate their identity, principles, and purpose as a party.
The Democratic Party, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris are all repudiated by Donald Trump’s significant electoral triumph. You can’t view it any other way. Despite a distracted campaign in the final week, Donald Trump’s resounding victory speaks volumes about the message the American electorate was sending in this election. He has a more than two-to-one advantage in financial resources, the office of the vice president, and the support of financial and political elites nationwide.
In other words, Americans want a new economic strategy that prioritizes deregulation, lower taxes, and fewer governments. They want to finish the wall and eradicate illegal immigration as much as they can. Additionally, they seek structural and fundamental solutions to the crime problem.
The outcomes of the election also point to the abortion issue’s limits as a driving force. To put it plainly, the Democrats’ almost exclusive focus on the choice issue indicates how weak that appeal is.
More broadly, the reelection of a blatantly flawed Donald Trump to the White House also signifies a rejection of Democratic woke policies as a message to the Democratic Party, whether it’s about affirmative action, transgender concerns, or the importance of parents and the conventional nuclear family in American society.
Along with the resounding performance in the House, the Republican triumph and Senate election results send a message of change and opposition to the existing quo.
Given the power of the Russia-China-Iran-North Korea axis, I sincerely hope that both parties will acknowledge the serious and growing threat we face. If our leaders do not unite to address our domestic and international issues, the American people will ultimately lose, and they deserve better than the polarization and campaign we have just witnessed.
Don’t worry; this marks the start of a new era for our enemies. A risky time. An energized and revitalized Donald Trump and a weakened Joe Biden form an interregnum that puts us at unprecedented risk and presents our enemies with a chance.
One thing is certain: Biden and Trump must communicate with one another. Agreeing to pardon each other and their families would be the finest thing they could do because our nation deserves better, not because of the case’s merits. Furthermore, the leadership we have been receiving is much below what the American people deserve.
