President-elect Donald Trump’s border policies are back in focus, now with his newly appointed border czar, Tom Homan, who has issued a stern warning for sanctuary cities, saying, ‘Don’t cross the line!’
Homan made this known in a wide range interview that those sanctuary cities will be in dire consequences if they fail to turn in illegal immigrants.
In his words; ‘Impeding a federal law enforcement officer is a crime. And knowingly harboring or concealing an illegal alien? That’s a crime too, so don’t cross that line!”
Homan is the former acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He was named earlier this month by Trump to coordinate all border security issues from the White House starting January 20. He has been crafting mass deportation plans already. Both he and Trump have been very vocal about that, and they are not backing down, aiming at more than 14 million illegal immigrants, including those who have been accused or convicted of crimes.
Sanctuary cities like Los Angeles, which reaffirmed their sanctuary status last week, could face legal action under Homan’s proposed crackdown.
Homan is leaving no stone unturned as he revealed plans to ask Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi for a formal opinion on whether such actions violate federal law. He disclosed more in this video;
‘Don’t cross the line’ much emphasis on that.
Now, highlighting humanitarian crisis, Homan also addressed reports that the U.S. government has lost track of 30,000 unaccompanied migrant children which Trump’s administration hopes to rescue.
January is fast approaching, and Trump’s border czar is laying the foundation for a major shift in immigration enforcement. Will sanctuary cities comply, or will this lead to an epic clash?
