A federal judge disclosed on Monday that the FBI raid on the house of the former president Trump at Mar-a-Lago resulted in the seizure of medical records, documents related to his accounting information and tax returns, and other materials.
On Monday, the United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, Aileen M. Cannon, issued an order mandating the appointment of an independent special master to evaluate Trump’s records for potential violations of attorney-client and executive privilege. In addition, the judge issued an order requiring the Justice Department to cease its own investigation-related study of the material.
Cannon stated in the order the various kinds of documents that had been obtained as a result of the search.
Cannon wrote that according to the report written by the privilege review team, the files that were taken included medical data, correspondence connected to taxes, and financial information.
