Fox News has obtained an unsealed copy of the indictment against former President Donald Trump, which states that he is being charged with 37 separate offenses. These allegations vary from conspiring to hinder the administration of justice and making false statements to the wilful retention of documents pertaining to national security.
On Friday, the indictment that was brought against the former president by Special Counsel Jack Smith was made public.
Waltine Nauta, a member of the Trump administration who worked as a valet, was indicted on six offenses.
Thursday evening was the first time that Trump discussed the indictment. According to what Trump told Fox News Digital, the defendant will be pleading not guilty to the charges.
The indictment states that while Trump was in office as president, he “had lawful access to the most sensitive classified documents and national defense information gathered and owned by the United States government, including information from the agencies that comprise the United States Intelligence Community and the United States Department of Defense.”
