Two people close to Kourtney Kardashian Barker have said that she gave birth to her first child with husband Travis Barker this week.
Kardashian Barker, who wed the drummer for Blink-182 in the previous year and revealed her pregnancy in June, gave birth to a child.
Kardashian Barker’s infertility was chronicled by the couple in the Hulu series “The Kardashians.” The program traced her journey from the moment she began IVF procedures. Subsequently, she declared that she had terminated the procedure and would trust God to handle her family planning.
Kardashian Barker had “urgent fetal surgery” in September and said that physicians had saved her unborn child’s life. A few Blink-182 dates were rescheduled, and Barker took a temporary hiatus from the tour to spend time with his wife.
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery,” she said at the time on Instagram. “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear.”
Kardashian Barker, a reality TV celebrity and the creator of the lifestyle and health firm Poosh, announced her pregnancy by recreating a scenario from a Blink-182 video. She was in the audience at one of the band’s gigs when she held up a large homemade placard that stated “Travis I’m Pregnant.”
The scene, which was recorded on camera and published on her Instagram page, was a replica of Blink-182’s 1999 video for the popular song “All The Small Things,” in which the band danced to the song “All The Small Things.”
Barker rushed down off the stage, hugging and kissing his wife.
Kardashian Barker has three other children from her previous relationship with Scott Disick: Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8. Landon, 20, and Alabama, 17, are Barker’s children from his former marriage to model Shanna Moakler.
