On Tuesday, Tottenham Hotspur announced the signing of Dutch center-back Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg on a six-year contract.
The 22-year-old, who joined Wolfsburg in 2021, has made 41 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions and 11 for the Netherlands Under-21 team.
Van de Ven played in both a back three and a back four for Wolfsburg, which finished eighth.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Micky van de Ven from VfL Wolfsburg, subject to international clearance and a work permit,” Tottenham said in a statement.
“The defender has signed a contract with the club that runs until 2029, and he will wear the number 37 shirt.”
Van de Ven joins James Maddison, Pedro Porro, Guglielmo Vicario, Manor Solomon, and Ashley Phillips as permanent signings.
On Sunday, Tottenham will kick off their Premier League campaign at Brentford.
