There is always a risk of flash flooding with certain types of storms.
We could expect a range of precipitation from the Northeast to the Southeast in the form of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front comes down the East Coast. The front is moving southward along the East Coast.
These storms are accompanied by a substantial amount of lightning and torrential rain, both of which have the potential to generate flash flooding. Flash flooding can be dangerous since it can occur suddenly and without warning.
