Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin talks about how the city has responded to the tragedy that occurred at Robb Elementary School.
The mayor of Uvalde has stated that a negotiator who was stationed at a funeral home close to Robb Elementary School attempted to make contact with the suspect responsible for the shooting, Salvador Ramos, while the incident was taking place. This negotiator called “every number they could locate” to reach an agreement.
According to the mayor of Uvalde, the negotiator was unable to make contact with the 18-year-old shooter who carried out the attack on the school and was responsible for the deaths of 19 students and two teachers. As a direct result of the assault, each of these people tragically lost their life.
