Hana Ahmad Alolaimi, 35, and Omar Mahmoud Bishtawi, 48, are both accused of aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping.
Charges have been brought against a husband and wife from Texas for allegedly plotting to abduct and murder the guy the wife was having an affair with.
Fox 26 reports that Hana Alolaimi, 35, and Omar Bishtawi, 48, are both accused of aggravated assault and aggravated abduction.
Alolaimi was having an affair with a man who was also married to another person. However, according to court filings, the guy ended the relationship with his wife once she learned about it. Then, it is said that Bishtawi and Alolaimi plotted to abduct and murder the guy.
A judge read probable cause to Alolaimi and her spouse in court and said, “It’s alleged you are both married to other people and when the complaining witness’ wife found out about the relationship the complaining witness broke off the relationship.”
After reaching a Chick-fil-A in Houston, the pair waited for the victim—a Doordash driver with whom Alolaimi was having an affair—to arrive. They had waited for him to exit the restaurant, parking close to his car.
The victim reportedly sat in the car after Alolaimi allegedly motioned to her, the judge said. After the victim informed her that he had a delivery to make and could not, the woman tried to drive away.
The victim was then placed in a chokehold and had a revolver forced on their head by Bishtawi, who had sprang out from beneath a curtain in the rear seat of the car. Bishtawi shot the victim twice as he tried to flee.
Despite being shot in the foot and thigh, the sufferer managed to live after being taken to a hospital.
Alolaimi refused to leave him alone and even showed up to his new residence, the guy said KHOU, but he ended their connection three months ago because it became toxic. The victim said that Bishtawi informed him he had to die for disgracefully abandoning his wife after he was abducted.
According to court documents, the incident took place at the same Chick-fil-A where Alolaimi and the victim would meet before spending some alone time behind the local Target, Fox 26 said.
During the probable cause hearing, a lady testified in public that the husband and wife had three children, ages seven, ten, and thirteen.
While Alolaimi’s bond was set at $150,000, Bishtawi’s was set at $200,000.
