Authorities claimed that three individuals have been detained in connection with the abduction and death of a 20-year-old Georgia woman, whose remains were discovered in Tennessee.
In August 2023, Alpharetta resident Maury-Ange Martinez was reported missing from Gwinnett County. Her body was discovered on January 5 in a forested region west of Chattanooga, according to the Cobb County Police Department.
Later thereafter, the Tennessee medical examiner for Hamilton County verified that the remains were Martinez’s. Her cause of death remains undisclosed.
