As a result of Bannon’s refusal to comply with a subpoena that was sent to him by a House committee on January 6, he was found to be in contempt of Congress.
A little more than three hours of deliberation resulted in the jury in the trial of former White House executive Steve Bannon deciding to reach a verdict on Friday afternoon, according to a spokeswoman for the court.
Bannon was found guilty of two counts of contempt of Congress and was sentenced to be expelled from the House on January 6 by the House Judiciary Committee.
