The United States Marshals Service was one of the law enforcement agencies that was engaged in the shooting that involved an officer.
On Wednesday evening, law enforcement officers in the Seattle area shot and killed a man they believed to be a fleeing murder suspect who was attempting to avoid them. They suspected the man was armed.
During the arrest, both Seattle Police Department officers assigned to the department’s Force Investigation Team as well as U.S. Marshals were present.
Officers from several different police departments reportedly opened fire at the same time, as stated by the police department.
