Ronnie Dean Coleman was born to Jessie Bentonon on May 13, 1964, in Monroe, Louisiana, United States of America, under the zodiac sign Cancer, of American nationality and black descent. In 1984, Ronnie graduated from Grambling State University with a BSc in accounting. He played football as a middle linebacker while attending college with the GSU Tigers under the coaching of Eddie Robinson. After graduating from college, Ronnie tried different odd jobs but failed to work as an accountant. Instead, he worked at Domino’s Pizza, where he ate the complimentary pizza daily because he was poor. His fellow officer Gustavo Arlotta influenced Ronnie Coleman to attend the Metroflex gym, owned by amateur bodybuilder Brian Dobson. Dobson gave him a free membership for life so he could train for the Mr. Texas competition in 1990. Coleman won first place in the competition after Dobson trained and defeated him. Again, Coleman won his first competition as a professional in the Canada Pro Cup in 1995.
