Regarding the question of whether or not to prosecute Trump, Cheney stated, “We must make these difficult decisions.”
Rep. Liz Cheney (R), who represents Wyoming and is a member of the Republican Party, has stated that if there was sufficient evidence, prosecuting former President Trump would put the Constitution in peril.
According to Cheney, who gave his interview to ABC News for their program “This Week” on Sunday, the ability of President Bush to engage in such activities, combined with the fact that his party or the United States decides not to take their constitutional obligations seriously, poses a far more serious threat to the constitutional order than any other factor. In my perspective, this presents a threat that is significantly more severe.
“I am of the firm belief that these judgments must be made, despite the potential amount of anguish that they may cause. Examining these matters from the perspective of the nation is something that needs to be done for the good of the country “in her statement
The Wyoming Republican made the comments after delivering a speech earlier this week at the Reagan Library in California, in which he referred to Trump as a “domestic menace.” The speech was in response to comments made by Trump.
