Toronto, April 9, 2025 — Hong Wei Liao, Chairman of the Botrich Family Wealth Heritage and Development Center and Lifetime Honorary President of the Central South University (CSU) Alumni Association, hosted an exclusive banquet in Toronto to welcome the visiting CSU academic delegation. The dinner was sponsored by Liao Hongwei and gathered distinguished guests including representatives from the Toronto Consulate, Chairman Wang of the North American Chinese Health Association, outstanding alumni, and some leading figures in the North American academic community.
April 2025 — The CSU delegation, led by Vice President Li Zhihong, embarked on a North American academic exchange tour, marking a significant step in enhancing international collaboration between CSU and top institutions across North America.
This visit is part of CSU’s broader internationalization strategy, which includes over 300 global partnerships. As a “Double First-Class” university in China, CSU continues to expand its global influence and research excellence.
Formerly Hunan Medical University, the Xiangya School of Medicine at CSU enjoys a renowned legacy and reputation. The ongoing dialogue with the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine signals promising opportunities for East-West medical collaboration.
